Comment utterly unrelated to this post: I just came across your mention of my Pinky Violence essay as one of the best blog-type things in 2007 and I have to thank you graciously. I took a bit of a hiatus from the blog, partially due to my inability to wrap up that mammoth piece. I had been working on it for over a month and decided to publish it before it was finished, giving myself a deadline for the conclusion. Apparently, I don't work as well under pressure as I believed. I can't conclude the essay because I haven't completely wrapped my head around the issue. I need to see more of the films and do more thinking. Sorry to go on and on, but as you chided me to finish it even as you praised it, I thought you deserved an explanation.

Thanks again.

I don't get it.

If the strike continues, does this mean Maggie will be forced to make films like this?

I bet her fans are going to be hoping it never ends.

Ed,

I feel ya. I get stressed about pieces and meeting deadlines. It's silly really because it's not like we work at newspapers. But still, there's pressure.

I say move on from it and don't let it weigh you down.

Anyway, it was a great bunch of pieces and I love discovering about it. That's the most important part.

Moviezzz,

You're right. Maggie is anti-writer's strike. Why didn't I see that. Damn. But I still love her.

Maggie is just stunning here...

Talk about a bargaining chip. "If you meet our demands, we write the scene that happens INSIDE the bedroom."

Who was the shortest of the ladies? The one who said "Nice belt". She looks awfully familiar. And was the other woman (the one in black) the lap dancer from "Death Proof"?

Ed, just to chime in, I loved your Pinky Violence articles as well.
