Top 5 Tuesdays (T5T) Plays Ball

It's the official beginning of baseball and that means hot dogs and cold beer and a bag of peanuts and probably another disappointing season for my Royals. It also means I might be able to go double or nothing with Ray at The Rec Show when the Royals and Cards play again. But still, it's baseball and there's nothing more summer than that. Hollywood has hit and missed on baseball a lot (Ed anyone? Anyone?). And as beautiful as baseball can be on film, it still doesn't match a night game at Wrigley Field. Ever.

So give me your top 5 baseball movies. Or movies involving baseball at some point in the movie.

Here's some help.

And here are mine in no particular order.

1. Bull Durham

2. Major League

3. Bad News Bears (1976)

4. Field Of Dreams

5. The Natural

Day game at Wrigley >>> Night game. I say that fully ignornant, as I'lve only been to a day game, but c'mon, day games at Wrigley is what baseball is all about (and I'm a Giants fan, so this isn't really a Cubs-specific thing), so I can't imagine the night games being better.

My top 5 movies that involve baseball but aren't about it:

1. The Princess Bride (what? video games count!)
2. Dazen and Confused
3. Supertroopers
4. Signs
5. uh...Hook?

Maybe it's a generational thing, but I always found The Sandlot to be extremely good. And it gave us the line "You're killin' me, Smalls." I'm not sure if there's a day that goes by that I don't use that line.

fletch,

When you've been to both, you can be snotty like me. But yeah, either one is pretty damn good.

Dazed and Confused is an awesome one that I forgot. And Supertroopers is one of my favorite comedies

dan e.

I watched Sandlot recently and a lot of it is forced, but I still love it. I remember seeing it in the theater and it has stuck with me ever since.

fox,

Forgot about Upside Of Anger. Great example

megan,

A League Of Their Own is great as well.

Aren't Bull Durham and Major League eerily similar? Or is that just me?

Lops are one of the top damage classes of dofus kamas, without need of huge buffing. I know vitality is very tempting in kamas, you get after level 100 every time you level. You may be feeling intelligence in cheap kamas. You are going to be getting crab pincers which like dofus gold, depending on which server you are on. buy dofus kamas can help you get a high level in short time.
