Do you know what time it is?

As I sat and watched the opening credits of Spiderman 3, I realized that this is the first big blockbuster of the year. And that means just one thing.

Summer. It may be the month of May, but it's Summer to me.

I have no desire to see anything of artistic value. Bring on the big explosions. Bring on the remakes and the sequels. Bring on the bad one-liners. Bring on the directors who are nowhere near as talented as the budgets they control. Bring on small plots and big paychecks.

It's summer and I am soaking in SPF 50.

But the question is... as far as summer blockbuster fare goes, was Spidey 3 a disappointment?
