Top 5 Tuesdays (T5T) Honors Best Actors
Every year The Oscars honor the best of the best of the best. Or so they say. Awards are well... there are politics, and there's campaigning, and awards are subjective, etc. In short, there are some more deserving than others. This month, I'm going to honor the best of the best Oscars with my Top 5 Tuesdays. And today, I'm asking for your Top 5 Best Best Actors. The most deserving of the coveted award. Here are mine.
1. Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mocking Bird
2. Dustin Hoffman as Ted Kramer in Kramer vs. Kramer
3. Robert De Niro as Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull
4. Paul Newman as Fast Eddie Felson in The Color Of Money
5. Philip Seymour Hoffman as Truman Capote in Capote

Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Dustin Hoffman and Robert DeNiro are locks for me.
For the last two spots, I would consider:
Nicholas Cage, Leaving Las Vegas
Anthony Hopkins, Silence of The Lambs
Robert Duvall, Tender Mercies
George C. Scott, Patton
Another great list. Can't really quibble too much.
I know Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robert DeNiro and Gregory Peck would make my top 5.
So would Anthony Hopkins.
I would round out the top 5 with Marlon Brando in "On the Waterfront."
